Staff Bios (Conductor/Station Manager)Paula has been in the field of orthodontics for nearly 25 years and still loves it! She obtained both her AA in Business Management and BS in Marketing—all the while keeping her nose to the grindstone at the office. After all these years she can truly say, "I can do it all." (Since she really has worked in all aspects of an orthodontic office.) When Paula isn’t at the office you can find her riding her horse in the Mountain Preserve, working out at the gym (no, she’s not "buff"), water and snow skiing, or playing with her Papillon puppy. (Line Crew Supervisor)Jani has been with Dr. Ovens for over 9 years. She works chairside at both offices. When there’s time between patients, she sneaks back to our lab to work on models. (You know, those replicas of your teeth that you have taken on one of your first visits!) At home, she’s kept busy with her husband and three daughters. When not attending activities connected with school age children, she’s working with her hubby around the house on what seems to be a never-ending list of remodeling projects (Brakeman)Since Denise has been in the orthodontic field for 12 years, she helps fill-in wherever needed. Sometimes you’ll find her working chairside and other times you’ll find her up front chasing insurance claims, answering the phone or making appointments. Whew, she’s a busy girl! Things don’t slow down when she gets home either—her two sons keep her hopping. Her great escape is to slap on her roller blades and let the wind blow through her hair! (Line Crew ) Joy has been in the dental field for over 17 years now. With her three children grown and out of the house she looks forward to doing the things she likes to do. Things like taking walks with her three dogs, hiking, reading and gardening give her enjoyment after all those years spent as chief cook and maid! Deilani is 26 and has 3 yrs. in the dental field. She has been working
1 year of that in orthodontics and absolutely loves it! She and Anthony
(her pride and joy son), and the chocolate lab, Early Joe are busy keeping
her life hectic--but Deilani says she wouldn't have it any other way.
In her spare time (yeah, right) she enjoys going to the park with her
family, traveling, attending sporting events and concerts, and scuba diving. Leslie is the newest member of our crew. She's one of the smiling faces who greets you at the front desk and on the phone. Working at our office is her first experience in the dental field (so be patient with her). Leslie has a B.S. in Life Science and has had her sights set on either dental hygiene or pharmacy school for the past two years. When she's not busy working or going to school, she enjoys spending time with her greatest love, Forrest, her Boxer. You guessed it, she named him after her favorite movie! She also enjoys yoga, hiking and taking Forrest to the dog park.
